GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery, It is a diploma-
level course suitable for those pursuing a clinical nursing career.
GNM emphasizes teaching Nursing students the importance of
the community, community health care, and Midwifery.

History

In 1980 permission to start the course in General nursing and
Midwifery was Obtained from the Karnataka Nursing Council,
and the first batch of G.N.M course was started in January
1981.
